Welcome to Metropolitan Mental Health Clinic’s (MMHC) website. This site was created to assist you with finding information about MMHC’s mission, services provided, referrals, directions to help you find us and opportunities to be a part of our team and more.

Metropolitan Mental Health Clinic, Inc. (MMHC) is a comprehensive behavioral health care facility. A wide range of behavioral health care services are provided for children, adolescents and adults. We are a full-service Outpatient Mental Health Clinic.

 Mission:

MMHC’s mission is to improve the quality of life, one person at a time by enhancing the growth and development in spiritual, psychological, educational, cultural and social areas of the lives of the individuals we serve.

 Patient Care:

MMHC provides a triad of services that has proven to assist patients to cope with and or to recover from mental health illness and related issues. Our treatment team provides services to individuals with Maryland Medicaid and uninsured individuals that qualify under the provisions of the State of Maryland. There is a sliding scale fee for individuals that pay out-of-pocket.

 Credentials:

As a leading provider of mental health services to patients in Prince George’s County, the Board works hard every day to ensure that MMHC is dedicated in providing a full continuum of care to assist our patients with recovering from their mental health diagnosis. MMHC provides a holistic view of care which includes psychiatric treatment; psychotherapy; and psychiatric rehabilitation services. MMHC is focused on providing a high quality of care, “one person, at a time”. MMHC is licensed by the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene and the Department of Mental Health Authority whom performs the most rigorous reviews of mental healthcare providers in Prince George’s County to assess the quality of care provided.
